Monday Memo - Week of Dec 7-11
Congratulations to the grade 5/6 class for winning the door decorating contest last week! 🎄 We find out what our prize will be this week. 😀
Language: This week, we are working on a Christmas writing task. It is a persuasive letter to Santa from the perspective of a villain. This task will be located in the students' Language folders online. The pre-writing organizers were due today.
Early finishers will work on a Bridge to Terabithia extra credit task.
Religion: We are learning about Advent this month. Students are writing a new prayer based one of the 4 advent themes. We watch daily advent videos and the students write reflections afterwards.
Math: Students have an open book culminating task on monday instead of a unit test. We are starting Data Management on Tuesday.
Science: The science assessments were handed back on Friday. We have now begun the new units: Grade 5 - Forces Acting on Structures and Mechanisms, Grade 6 - Air and Flight.
