Since the novel study is spread out over a number of weeks with little writing requirements, I thought I'd present another task for students to work on.
I am attaching a site that students can visit any day of the week for a different story each day. There is a non-fiction article with a follow-up question that involves writing for each day. The stories are quite interesting that students would enjoy. We would be starting at Week 2, Day 6 today!

-Click on the link
-Select your grade category (3-5 or 6-9)
-Choose the week we are on (Week 2 for this week)
-Choose the day we are on (Day 6 for Monday, Day 7 for Tuesday, etc..) and click on the story to read.
-Go to "Continue the Learning Journey" at the bottom and complete one of the assigned writing task in a Google doc.
Students can read as many or few stories as they'd like. I don't expect them to complete the writing task each day. Whatever your time allows you!
