Grade 6 graduates need to submit a photo

Please read the following email sent out by Mme. Berube:

Hello! Please ask your grade 6 students to submit a picture of themselves sitting at their workspace (their workspace for virtual learning). They should have someone else take the picture and their face should be clearly visible. The picture must be taken vertically as it will be used at the end of the grad video. Pictures should be renamed/retitled as the student's first and last name (with no spelling errors).

You can let the students know that this picture is important and that everyone is going to see it, so they should take it seriously (no silly faces or dark pictures).

Week of April 19th-23rd

Dear Parents/Guardians,

I hope everyone had a  wonderful Spring Break.  As you know, it has been decided that we will move to virtual learning.

We will follow a similar format as we did in January with the students using the same link every day to sign on to the meet (found in their student portal). Tomorrow we will meet in the afternoon at 12:50pm, but every other day after that will be 9:05am.

If your son/daughter does not have a Chromebook or other device to access the meetings and work, please let me know and we can arrange for you to pick one up from the school.

To enter our Google Meets, students are to go to the Student Portal and open Google Meet from there.  Our class link will be ready for them at class time.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zBb21p1U3e4

I know this is not an ideal situation for all and I am very understanding that this will be a process.  I want this transfer to be as smooth as possible, keeping in mind the mental health and well-being of all students and families.  Please let me know if there is anything needed to assist in this transition.

Thank you and take care!

Welcome Back!

 Dear Parents/Guardians,

I hope everyone has had a  wonderful Christmas Break.  As you know, it has been decided that this week (January 4 - 8th), school will be online.

We don’t want this transition to be stressful or complicated for our families.  We know that some households might have multiple users and that not all can have access to technology.  Our school will have laptops available to families who need them.

We will have our first class Google meet at 1:00pm today.

At this time, we will discuss how the week will work and how the lessons will be taught for the remainder of the week.

To enter our Google Meets, students are to go to the Student Portal and open Google Meet from there.  Our class link will be ready for them at class time.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zBb21p1U3e4&feature=youtu.be

Above all else, we hope this transition will be smooth and not increase any anxiety or stress on anyone’s part.  Our priority always remains the health and well-being of the students.  If there are any concerns or questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Thank you and take care!

Mrs. DesRochers
